Pointers, also known as Pointing Breeds, are a type of gundog adept at searching for game. The word Pointer refers to the dog's inclination to stop and point its muzzle towards game. Pointers tend to have spots somewhere on their body and can be short-haired, wire-haired or silky-coated.
